The two-way dynamic human-machine communication through electromagnetic signals of the brain is the next step of the technological revolution - and it is already a reality.

It is a fact that the greatest technological achievements of the last few years existed in fiction books or movies. Remember Star Trek and that special device that made multiple environmental measurements, all the non-pilot vehicles, the laser rays used for shooting aircraft and many other inventions. All of them are real things today either applied in the day-to-day or existing in a pilot phase.

The next big challenge of the development of the technologies is the two-way dynamic human-machine communication, in an incredible new way of using the electromagnetic signals. In other simple words, a communication with machines simply with thought.

Starting from the initial Democritos idea about the existence of atom as the main component of the matter, we have reached the stage when we have proof of existence and of the importance of electromagnetism in material bodies, both organic and inorganic. In the nuclear age, the atom and its electromagnetic properties leaded to the creation of devastating destructive weapons, to the production of cheap atomic energy, medical applications, determining the precise age of the antique items and to many other applications in different fields of human activity.

The exponential development of all technologies and especially of information technology enables us to see the meaning of an absolute control of electromagnetism and its properties in the near future.

Human cells as well as machines' elements will become sensors, transmitters and receivers of electromagnetic signals.

But the most crucial thing in this process is that the electromagnetic information will be recorded, stored and processed, no matter how small the signals or their emission time may be.

The revolution in "communication" of the coming decades is about to begin in a short while. This new communication will be the language of electromagnetic signals, so, in the beginning, it will be dealing with problems such as the noise of signal purity and the separation between the signals.

The new holistic communication environment will no longer be dependent on the traditional characteristics of people or machines, on the language or sound or visual messages of our five senses.

The unknown and magnificent world of electromagnetic communication, regardless of contact and traditional channels, will give birth to the new environment. This is impressive as Tesla's visions of electricity were some day, as heretical and as innovative.

Human brain cells' electromagnetic activity will be translated and exploited. In a while, there will be no need in sensors touching the human skull. The technology will allow to record the electromagnetic signals over long distances.

At the same time, machines and new types of information systems will not only be carriers but also active systems They will have the ability to recognize patterns, which was the last obstacle to the interaction of a human and a machine in real time with the reception of the signals of human thought. That is, human-to-machine communication will be two-way and almost exclusively via thoughts.

It is a fact that such two-way communication has already been achieved thanks to neuroscience and neuro-mechanics. Some "products" have already appeared in niche markets, such as lie detectors - it is important that the results acquired from such devices are recognized as evidence by US courts. The very next field of investment, mainly in the US and less Europe in China, is connecting with quantum computers.

It's just a matter of time that the solutions for recording, transmission and processing of electromagnetic signals will transform these first pilot attempts  - that confirm already that it is fully technologically feasible - to large-scale applications to provide the new interface for people (and animals!) and machines.

In order to be considered as a general innovation a new technology should be able to cover multiple applications in many fields of human activity. So the use of electromagnetic signals of the human and animal brain in an interactive environment with signal processing and transfer machines, creates an unprecedented holistic communication environment. A communication literally without limits!

Therefore, we are moving forward into a new world without technological frontiers, with new challenges. Still unable to understand the extent of the consequences of these changes.

At this point I dare to suggest that the new communication environment by using machine electromagnetic signals as a new general innovation could be called "signalcom"!

The next step will be to resolve technological issues related to the signals themselves. The issues that have to do with the recording of electromagnetic signals in their emission source, their reception, transport, storage, processing, interactivity and recognition in the human-machine relationship, their selection, their accept/reject rules.

Also a major issue of reflection will be the usage of this new communication environment. Especially for the new generation that will grow in an environment where the communication possibilities will be without limits, where everything will be open and available.

The future is close so let us now think about the social dimensions of these developments.

Η δίκαιη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη είναι θέμα κατανόησης της ασυμμετρίας πνευματικής αναζήτησης και υλικής αφθονίας !
